This week I can’t talk about Brett Favre. Maybe that’s a good thing. Minnesota Vikings are on a bye week. But we will talk about Tony Romo and America’s Team. Yes, they still hold that ranking but not by much. The Dallas Cowboys are still trying to find an identity and are not very indentical when it comes to consistancy. One week they are on fire and the next week the fire wood ia all wet. I’m sure that every one could argue that their number one wide receiver Roy Williams in not worth “number 2″. But I am sure they will find their way through the darkness. Maybe it would help if they turned on the stadiums lights. Tony Romo has to be more consistant with his throws. He also has to learn to read defenses more effciently.
In an interview today ESPN Sal Palanonio indicated that he and some other ESPN crew members researched every offensive that was made when Phillip Rivers was directing the offense. He then indicated that other teams had picked up physical motions made by Rivers that allowed the opposing team to know when he was going to pass or run. This is extremely interesting. I wonder why the San Diego Chargers have not figured this out. But I am sure they know all there is to know or so they think. We will see what happens when the New York Giants clash with them this weekend. This shoud be an interesting game. The Giants have not exactly lived up to their name or expectation. The Giants offensive line has many issues that could end up seeing their QB mamed and mangled on the ground. Ely Manning is going to have to learn to get rid of the ball much quicker. He just does not have the offensive line that he has had in the past.
The best game of week 9 in the NFL could be the match up between the Indianapolis Colts and the Houston Texans. This game is going to be interesting due to the fact that the Colts have lost both of their starting defensive corners to injury. The Houston Texans have the hot hand in passing right now and this could end up being the first loss for the undefeated colts.
Other games include the Pittsburg Steelers taking on the Denver Broncos. The Broncos lost their first game of the season last week. They also took on the look of the Broncos of Old. Look for Big Ben to step up in this game and win it throught air to their great receiving corps.
The most interesting game could be the Detroit Lions when they travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks. The Lions will have all of their offensive weapons back. Unfortunetly their defense is still playing in college and will not be there for two more years of drafting. The Seahawks will take the Lions to school on this one and win by 13.
My last call is Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots. I just have to believe that Coach Bill will have an answer for the wildcat offense. Ricky Williams will run a lot in this game. New England By 9
